Pareto Chart

What we know as the Pareto principle (also known as the 80–20 rule) states that, for many events, roughly 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes.

We use this rule in problems solving, mainly in improvement activities, that helps us in prioritizing our efforts. By identifying only 20 % of the causes and focusing only on these we solve about 80 % of  effects.

The Pareto-Chart applications allow us to order the causes that we write in any order, and draw both, the frequency of each cause and the cumulative frequency in percentage, so that we can identify, just by looking at the chart, the few causes that represent roughly 80 % of the effects. (see below)

It works both with Windows and Mac.
